Daily-resolution, bias-corrected climate data from the global climate models MIROC-ESM-CHEM, NorES1-M, IPSL-CM5A-LR, GFDL-ESM2M, HadGEM2-ES covering the period 1950-2099 (historical run up to 2004, then split into 4 RCPs), downscaled to a 0.5°x0.5° lat-lon grid. The data were bias corrected following the method described in Hempel et al. (2013) http://www.earth-syst-dynam.net/4/219/2013/esd-4-219-2013.html, which should be cited when using this data set.
Near-surface wind magnitude is measured at 10m above the land surface. The relative humidity corresponds to 2m above the land surface.
The global, gridded climate data were taken from the ISIMIP Fast Track input-data catalogue (Warszawski et al., 2014), which are available under the DOI http://doi.org/10.5880/PIK.2016.001 (Hempel, et al., 2013a). The original data were retrieved from the CMIP5 archive and bias-corrected using the method described in Hempel et al. (2013b).

Relative humidity was *not* bias corrected.
The native resolution of the HadGEM2-ES data is 1.25°x1.85°.
Within the spin-up data set, consistency between the total wind speed (wind) and the wind components (uas, vas) is not guaranteed. In particular, the wind speed calculated from uas and vas differs slightly from the provided variable wind (i.e., correlation greater than 0.95), which is an artefact of the applied detrending procedure.
When comparing results obtained using input data at different resolutions, bear in mind that global totals of a given input variable are not necessarily identical at different resolutions, due to the different land fractions.
