Replacement of WFDEI data for 2011-2013
The team responsible for producing the WFDEI data set (which we combined with WATCH to produce a continuous historical data set starting in 1901) have announced a replacement of the rainfall and snowfall data for the years 2011, 2012, 2013.  The problem was a processing error in the original data.  We have acquired the corrected data and exchanged it on the DKRZ server.  Since these years are not part of the official ISIMI2a input data (the reporting period for this dataset ends in 2010), this shouldn't require most of you to repeat your runs, unless you have chosen to extend your runs to include the additional years.

Anomalous specific and relative humidity for WFDEI
We have become aware of an inconsistency in the method used to process the WFDEI humidity data, which was provided for ISIMIP2a as part of the WATCH+WFDEI dataset. The humidity data provided were processed from ERA-Interim daily mean 2-m dew point temperature and WFDEI daily mean 2-m temperature and surface pressure. The resulting values of specific humidity differ from the original WFDEI values. We do not consider it necessary to replace these data, however it is important that you are aware of this potential difference to versions of specific and relative humidity for WFDEI acquired from other sources.

ESGF server now back online
After a long downtime, the ESGF server, where the ISIMIP Fast-Track data and some of the input data for ISIMIP2a is publicly available, is now fully back online (esg.pik-potsdam.de).  We hope this alleviates some of the difficulties in accessing these data for those external to the project.  Please feel free to circulate this message amongst relevant colleagues.
