ISI-MIP Paper-writing workshop - Registration now open

Posted on July 14, 2015

We are pleased to announce that registration is now open for the ISI-MIP paper-writing workshop in Zurich on 28-30 October, 2015.

For organisational purposes, we would be very grateful to receive your registration no later than Wednesday, 22 July 2015 via the ISI-MIP website.  There you will also find a preliminary outline of the workshop program.

Since this workshop has the very specific goal of facilitating the writing of papers based on the ISI-MIP2.1a historical simulations, the workshop will be organised into paper-writing groups, lead by the first author of the respective papers.  When registering, you will be asked to say with which paper-writing group you will be working (either as a first or co-author).  In some cases, such as in the energy sector, the workshop will be used to continue working on the simulation protocol.   You can also provide this, or any other proposed activity on the registration form.

If you are the first author of a paper and will be attending the workshop, we strongly encourage you to contact your potential co-authors, in order to coordinate attendance at the workshop.

There is no participation fee associated with the workshop.

As was the case for the last workshop in March, there is some limited funding available to support your workshop travel and accommodation.  If you are unable to attend the workshop without financial support, please indicate this when registering, including an estimate of your travel costs.  When registrations have closed, we will inform you if we can meet your request for travel assistance.  Please note, it may not be possible to consider requests for financial assistance after the close of registration.

In order to facilitate the reimbursement process for those who receive funding, we kindly ask you to book your own accommodation for the workshop. Attached you will find a list of hotels, where block reservations have been made to facilitate your accommodation. Most options are within walking distance from both the Zurich central station and the ETH University, where the workshop will take place.  Please note that there are government-regulation-imposed limits to the amount that can be reimbursed for accommodation (159€€/night for Switzerland) if your accommodation is paid for by ISI-MIP.
