Specifications
National and gridded historic population data are taken from the History Database of the Global Environment (HYDE) version 3.2.1 (http://themasites.pbl.nl/tridion/en/themasites/hyde/download/index-2.html). Estimates for total as well as urban and rural population counts are available. This does not only extend previously provided population data but might also outdate previous data to a series of bug fixes since HYDE version 3.2.000.
