Registration now open for June workshop

Posted on March 10, 2016

We are delighted to inform you that registration is now open for the ISIMIP workshop on 22-24 June, 2016, at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) in Potsdam, Germany. You can find the draft workshop program and registration form on this page. Please note that registration closes on Friday, 25 March.

The key goals of the workshop are to:

  • Review the results of the ISIMIP2a simulations, with a focus on the evaluation of model performance with respect to the representation of the impacts of extreme events;
  • Discuss plans to deliver targeted simulations and analyses for the IPCC report on the impacts of 1.5°C global warming;
  • Discuss the next steps for the cross-sectoral integration task (ISIMIP2b), for which future simulations using consistently-generated land-use patterns will be performed;
  • Engage in a discussion with the economic modelling community on how ISIMIP can contribute to quantifying the economic costs of climate-change impacts.

All members of the ISIMIP community are invited to join us for the workshop in Potsdam, and we particularly hope to have at least one representative from each modelling team actively participating in ISIMIP.

There is no registration fee for the workshop.

We look forward to receiving your registration and to welcoming you to Potsdam in June!
