Invitation to the cross-sectoral ISIMIP workshop on 4-7 June, 2019

Dear ISIMIP community,

We are very happy to invite you to the next cross-sectoral ISIMIP workshop. The workshop will be held in Paris, France from 4 to 7 June. The workshop will be jointly organized by the Laboratoire des Sciences du Climat et de l'Environnement (LSCE) and the ISIMIP team at PIK.

After the small, topic-centered workshops in 2018, we are once again bringing together ISIMIP modellers from all sectors, members of the scientific advisory board, the ISIpedia team as well as ISIpedia stakeholders.

At the workshop, we will be able to exchange ideas, discuss recent as well as planned future work and further specify the needs for the next simulation round ISIMIP3. On the last day, we will be joined by the climate modellers from the CRESCENDO project for discussions on the climate forcing data to be used in ISIMIP.

Please have a look at the two attached calls for abstracts for presentations of your ISIMIP-related work. We kindly ask you to submit your abstracts via email to felix.john@pik-potsdam.de by 22 March.

All information regarding the workshop will be communicated via the workshop website at https://isimip2019.lsce.ipsl.fr/. There, you can already find a preliminary agenda which will be filled with more information in the next weeks.

Please register for the workshop using the registration form on the website at https://isimip2019.lsce.ipsl.fr/index.php/registration by 22 March.

Should your participation in the Strategy Group Meeting depend on financial assistance, please indicate this when registering - however, given the limited funds available, we cannot guarantee your request will be met. There is no participation fee for the workshop.

If you have any questions or comments, please get in touch with me (on agenda and content) and/or John Bazire from LSCE (on logistics; jbazire@lsce.ipsl.fr).

We are looking forward to seeing you (again) in Paris.

Best wishes from Paris and Potsdam,

John and Felix on behalf of the organizing committee
