1. Reference and future periods
First of all, please
make sure you adhere to the reference period 1980-2010 which is defined
in the protocol so that comparability across results is guaranteed.
Please fill the year from 2005 to 2010 by the associated
RCP (depending on the future simulations you consider). That is
different from our previous announcement where we asked you to fill the
reference period with RCP4.5 simulations. We noticed that that will
create problems for GCMs where you do not simulate RCP4.5. This rule
applies to the global mean temperature data as well as to your impact
indicators.
For future periods we suggest you use the
time slices for the time periods as described in the simulation protocol
on page 12 -> Section 5.1: Reporting and reference time periods.
As of Monday, 5 November 2012 the above changes will also have been
incorporated into the protocol, so please make sure you check our
website (www.isimip.org -> Simulation protocol) then.
2. Water demand projections uploaded to DKRZ server
The Watergap and H08 modeling teams have begun uploading their water
demand calculations (water withdrawals and consumption) to the server in
Hamburg. You are invited to use these calculations for your own model
simulations and analyses.
Please do not hesitate to get in touch with us in case you have questions or comments.
