Updates on ISIMIP2b protocol and newly available data.

We’d like to provide you with some important updates about the ISIMIP protocol and newly available data.

Protocol updates

The ISIMIP2b protocol has been updated to reflect some sector-specific and general changes that have been discussed over the past months. The new version is available on the ISIMIP website. The changes are documented in these entries:

• Attribution of harvesting events

• Updates to terrestrial-biodiversity protocol

• Descriptions of human-influence and land-use scenarios in crop simulations updated

• Spelling of forest site names standardized

• Typos in crop simulation scenarios corrected

Please take a moment to take a look at these changes before running or submitting any new simulations.

New input data available

Two new data sets are available as described in the ISIMIP2b simulation protocol:

• ISIMIP2b: RCP26 data on ocean dynamic topography extended to 2300

• Nitrogen deposition data added on a monthly scale

Output data

Since our last update form March there are three new output-data caveats:

• ISIMIP Fast Track Agriculture: pirww corrected for LPJmL and pDSSAT

• ISIMIP2a Biomes: correction of scenario names in file names

• ISIMIP2b: CLM4.5 picontrol runs based on GFDL-ESM2M deleted
