Cross-sectoral ISIMIP and CROSS-CASCADE workshop 2026


The cross-sectoral CROSS-CASCADE and ISIMIP workshop 2026 is taking place at:

The workshop will serve as the main, cross-sectoral ISIMIP workshop in 2026, and will also be the first full meeting of the new COST Action CROSS-CASCADE.

The core workshop will be scheduled from Tuesday to Thursday noon, while there will be room for sector-specific events before, and afterwards.

Thematic workshop sessions are scheduled along the CROSS-CASCADE Working Groups on:

  • ISIMIP input data and protocols,
  • Climate impact transmission chain models,
  • Coherent policies for adaptation,
  • Storylines and Policy Simulations for co-production.

Besides presentations of recent ISIMIP3-based research and CROSS-CASCADE contributions, plenary sessions focus on processes and requirements for starting the ISIMIP4 Fast Track to support the ongoing IPCC AR7-/GST-cycle.

There are slots for presentations, break-out groups, discussion rounds, etc. within the various sessions. Moreover, there are dedicated sectoral meetings, poster sessions, and networking activities, as well. 

On Friday, 12 June, there will be a dedicated 1-day Water Quality/Groundwater/Water Global workshop as part of the related CROSS-CASCADE Task Group from WG1. Attendance will be restricted to active contributors to the Task Group and upon invitation only.
