The optional experiment IX was a simulation to test the sensitivity of the improved bias-adjustment and statistical downscaling method that will be used in ISIMIP3. Due to the relatively large effort required to process the GCM data with the new methodology (for all GCMs and all time periods) and the low interest by modellers to run the experiment so far, we removed the experiment from the protocol.
However, we will make the input data available upon request, should anyone want to analyze the sensitivity.
