ISIMIP3 climate input data retracted from ISIMIP servers

Posted by Iliusi Vega del Valle on April 19, 2021

Some weeks ago we announced some issues in the ISIMIP3b bias-adjusted climate input data [1] and the ISIMIP3a observational and counterfactual climate inputs (both GSWP3-W5E5 and GSWP3) [2].

Updated versions of these data sets will soon be generated and published at our new ISIMIP repository [3], hopefully by mid May 2021.

Please wait until we publish the new version before running any simulations and avoid using the outdated data for analysis or model forcing.

The faulty version of these data sets has been retracted from our ESGF and ISIMIP servers, as we no longer want to see the data being used. However, we will keep them on tape and we could, in some especial cases, make parts of it available on request.

Stay informed about the progress of this issue by subscribing to our isimip-caveats mailing list [4].
